‘Design is about more than aesthetics; it's about capturing a story, your story, through shapes, colours and materials, just as a photograph captures a moment.’Maxime De Campenaere
In the heart of BeCentral in Brussels, the design of School 19 reflects a radical educational model inspired by École 42: an intensive coding programme with no teachers or lectures, built on peer learning, autonomy, and real-world projects.

Tucked within the heart of Brussels’ tech hub BeCentral, coding school 19 offers a radical new model of education — one with no teachers, no traditional courses, and a fully peer-to-peer, project-based approach. Inspired by the spirit of École 42, founded in Paris by Xavier Niel, 19 trains a new generation of developers through autonomy, collaboration, and continuous challenge.

The interior architecture echoes this non-hierarchical ethos: no classic classrooms, but rather open, flexible, and interconnected spaces, designed to encourage the free flow of both ideas and people.
Clean lines and cool tones reflect the discipline of code, while contrasting with zones of rest and decompression, essential to the rhythm of this intensive pedagogy.
Each space — project rooms, rest areas, community corners, or informal meeting zones — is part of a modular ecosystem, carefully designed to adapt to the evolving needs of the learners.
Closely aligned with the school’s visual identity, the interior design asserts an atmosphere that is both austere and precise, yet deeply contemporary and human.
