Contemporary renovation with a vintage touch

For this renovation of a 3-façades villa, we were asked to renovate the living room, kitchen and dining room as well as the shower rooms and the master bedroom. 

For the first step, the client wanted a completely open space. We actually proposed a space without partitioning but we added a full height element (composed of an open-fire / television set on the living room side and a piece of furniture housing the kitchen side appliances) which separates the living room from the rest of the ground floor. This tip provides a sense of space while maintaining privacy. On the dining room side, a niche with bench seat has been fitted out for its proximity to the garden and to be able to increase the number of guests by rotating the large table 90° and adding an extension.

The bathrooms and walk-in closet have been the subject of careful finishing and special research in terms of tiles, by mixing on the one hand a brand of vintage tiles on the walls in different colors depending on whether one is in the parents or children shower room and large Terrazzo floor tiles, in large format, bringing depth. The parent bathroom plays with some smoky eucalyptus and brass elements while the children’s bathroom adopts a more fun design with a flash red shower wall profile and a wink mirror.
